TruLight Photo started with a belief that the best photographs aren't manufactured — they're uncovered. We work exclusively with natural light, not because it's trendy, but because it teaches patience. It asks you to slow down, observe, and respond to what's actually happening in a room or on a hillside or in the space between two people.

Based in Seattle and serving the greater Bellevue and Eastside area, we photograph families, newborns, portraits, engagements, graduations, and interior spaces. Each category asks something different of us, and we love that range. A newborn session requires softness and unhurried warmth. A family session needs energy and freedom to move. An interior shoot demands precision and an architectural eye. What ties them together is the same core instinct: find the light, respect the subject, and stay out of the way.

Families & Newborns

Families come to us because they want photographs that actually look like their life — not stiff, overly directed scenes. We keep sessions calm and flexible, especially with little ones. For newborn work, we prioritize baby's comfort and parents' ease above everything else. We move gently, we take breaks, and we let the session unfold in its own time. The result is imagery that feels lived-in and tender, not staged.

Portraits & Headshots

Whether it's a personal branding session, an editorial portrait, or a senior milestone photo, we approach every portrait with the same intention: make you look like you, at your most confident and natural. We'll guide you through expressions and angles, but the best frame is always the one where you forget the camera is there. We shoot on location across Seattle, in parks, urban textures, waterfront light — wherever fits your story.

Engagements & Graduations

These are milestone moments. Engagements are about the two of you — your rhythm, your humor, the way you look at each other when nobody's watching. Graduation sessions celebrate everything you've worked for with portraits that carry weight and personality. We keep both types of sessions editorial in feel: clean backgrounds, intentional framing, real emotion.

Interior Design & Architecture

We photograph residential and commercial interiors for designers, architects, and realtors across the Seattle metro area. This work is about spatial storytelling — how light moves through a room, how materials interact, how a space makes you feel. We bring the same sensitivity here that we bring to portrait work: patience, composition, and an eye for what makes a space singular.

A note on weddings

We don't photograph weddings. It's a deliberate choice — not because we don't love them, but because our best work happens in quieter settings where we can be fully present without the pace and logistics a wedding day demands.
